Special Events that day
Immediately After Commemoration: Blackstock Battlefield 1 hr. seated tour & lecture by Interpretive Ranger Mark Sanford from a hill overlooking the battlefield.
4:30 to 6:30 p.m.: Ranger guided lantern hike of the undeveloped Battlefield. Like the battle in 1780, the hike begins late afternoon and ends at sunset. Everyone will be given candle lanterns to finish in the dwindling light The hike is mostly off trail over difficult and hilly terrain.
