The Brier Creek Education Day is an annual historical event held at the Brier Creek Battlefield in Screven County, Georgia. It is designed to teach students and the public about the Battle of Brier Creek (March 3, 1779) and themes of the Revolutionary

Activities & Program
- History Station: Dr. John Derden provides an overview of the battle’s history and the battlefield’s preservation.
- Weaponry Demonstrations: Reenactors demonstrate Revolutionary War period weapons, including muskets and black powder procedures.
- Artifact Displays: Tables showcasing period-accurate clothing, hats, and tools used by American Patriots.
- Artillery Firing: Each session typically concludes with the firing of 6-pounder cannons by the Brier Creek Artillery and the playing of “Taps”.
